CONTRACT POSITION
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Main Responsibilities
• Prepare EIC design drafting and detailed drawings in line with project requirements
• Interface design drafting with other disciplines by communicating with relevant design engineers
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by adhering to exiting design drafting standards and reviewing design drafting produced by less experienced designers
• Required ability to manage, organize, and participate in multiple work assignments, including production support of contract documents as required
• Required ability to work with clients, suppliers, and contractors
• Required ability to assist in field work, investigation, support, and start-up & commissioning activities for our clients
QUALIFICATIONS
• A certificate in electrical technology from a technical college or an engineering degree from a university is preferred, but not required
• A minimum of ten years experience in electrical drafting design experience gained in a consulting engineering environment
• Strong understanding of power distribution voltages ranging from 120V to 25kV and control systems based on Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) architectures
• Experience in design of electrical distribution systems and equipment up to 25kV, MCC, VFD, communication, and instrumentation & control systems
• Experience with a variety of CAD platforms, including AutoCAD, for the production of contract documents
• Proven track record of successfully contributing to multi-discipline projects
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English.

• Ability to analyze issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines
